The competency model

A competency model has been developed to represent the competencies necessary for the career (requirements profile) in a standardized manner. The competences listed in the model are characteristic and necessary to practice the careers described. Depending on the sector in which the career is practiced, additional industry knowledge is also needed. This is to be supplemented individually by the companies as required.

Definitions of terms

Abilities: All knowledge, attitudes and approaches acquired through targeted learning and practical experience. Skills represent a person’s potential.
Competencies: A combination of abilities used to meet a specific requirement or to perform a specific action.

For a clearer understanding of the requirements in the career descriptions, the job profiles (under the info button) show the most important contents of the relevant competency areas with keywords. These serve as the basis for the assessment of the requirements.

The keywords provide guidance and do not claim to be exhaustive.
